swelling almost to my eye

3 days ago I was fixing to go to bed and my tooth started to hurt a bit, so I took a ibuprofin and went to bed. When i woke up the next day my top lip was a bit swollen and hurt bad. By the end of that night my lip was swollen badley and my cheek. I started amoxicillen that night and by the next morning I was swollen up to right below my eye. and now i am on the second day of antibiotics and it seems to be starting to swell on the other side of my face to and my lip and cheek and roof of my mouth is in extrem pain, what else should I do? How much longer till the antibiotics start working, I look like I have a black eye and bruised cheeks, its like a red mark from my lip up to right below my eye. Please help me.

You should definitely see a dentist or go to an emergency room.  They may need to give you another antibiotic and get a dental evaluation to find out whats happening.

I can't honestly say.  I went through one course of antibiotics and my dentist has started me on a second (using two antibiotics).  Probably for me it was at least a week before I started to feel any better.
Did you have any dental work done?  You should perhaps contact your dentist.
I used an ice pack on my face initially so that swelling would be reduced.  I read on some website that heat was good as it brought blood and antibiotics to the site where it was needed.
I would check with a dentist or doctor.
A red line isn't a good sign.  That is a sign of infection.  I would speak to someone fairly urgently.
