teeth missing and very little permanant teeth (very strange)

I have almost no permanant teeth. Not sure if this is true but I had a full mouth x-ray and I had only 3 roots. I did however, save my teeth that fell out when I was little and supposely gave way to permanant teeth. It's strange though since I saved 9 teeth and I only have 3 teeth with roots. Does this mean that I have permanent teeth without roots? If not then what pushed my teeth out then? (they were under the teeth that fell out)

I also have a question pertaining to whether I should get braces or not since even with the less amount of teeth I do have, my mouth isn't able to fit the ones I have nicely. The top teeth have been pushed together (12 teeth on top and 12 on bottom) and thus I'm buck toothed with one tooth sticking ahead of the other. The only reason that the bottom teeth are not so cramped (the front are a little turned but that insn't a problem like the top where one tooth sticks out alot) is because I fell when I was little and I lost 1 canine on the bottom but a new canine never grew in (permanant canine) and the tooth right after that is now in it's place but the gum line has dropped to very below this tooth but looks like if it moved anymore the tooth would fall out but it's stable since the other teeth keep it in place.

link of a pic of my teeth above (I took the picture myself but I don't have the x-ray)
(I would like to see if anyone can tell me if they look like permanant teeth or baby teeth since I'm confused as to why I don't have more roots if I had 9 teeth fall out when I was small)

Thanks

hey,
im not entirely sure to be honest, I had a full mouth x-ray too and I got told i only have 8 Adult teeth and im 22!!! my baby teeth are still fully in place though, mouths are confusing things! Im not sure if my baby ones will ever fall out, my advice though is not to worry about it at the moment or ring your dentist and ask!
