tooth implant and swollen gum and swollen lymph nodes

Ing
3 weeks ago I had a tooth implant (bottom wisdom tooth plus adjacent tooth). The swelling of the gum next to the implant extended to the next 2 bottom teeth. IV antibiotics were given plus antibiotic tablets with little effect to reduce the swelling. The pain was mainly at the ear, the joining teeth and the back of my head. Then I started having swelling of the lymph node near the jaw with pain/discomfort spreading to the lower part of the neck (the side of the implant) and shoulder bone. After 2 weeks I was given cortisone powder to apply to the implant area three times a day for 3 days. There was excellent dental follow-up and after-care and the swelling has gone down somewhat but the 'angry' red colour of the swelling hasn't yet changed to a pink. I was told to be patient because the infection of the lymph gland and the ulcer will take some time to heal - and to continue with regular mouth washes

My Question: How confident can I be that time will bring healing?

I would like to thank the medical team for their reply. New problems: The latest report: an infection of the bone between the two implants. Recommendation: remove infected bone material and take out the implant still causing problems, stitch up the gum tissue. Presently taking Roxithromycin
My worry: spread of the infection to sinus cavities, ears and other vital areas plus spread of the lymphatic system and septicaemia.

Big question: Prognosis

I guess time will tell. If you are confident in the doctor that placed them then I think you have to wait it out.
