tooth/jaw pain

My husband gets bad tooth absesesses (excuse spelling) and it went away with some amoxicilin, but now he has a hard as a rock round pouch on his jaw bone and he's in a lot of pain. we dont have medical insurance and live far from the er. Maybe you can help me with what it might be? thanks.
