toothache

I had a broken filling re-drilled and replaced 6 months ago.. This is in my upper right molar, 2nd from back (the one connected to the maxillary sinus).  Ever since then I've had a constant but relatively mild aching.  It's just enough to bother me, but not enough to quite motivate me to get something "done".   I had a new bite wing taken and there is no abscess... So does this mean it can't be dangerous to my health?  Does there have to be an absecess on the x ray to make a toothache dangerous?       I was also wondering what I should do about it, the dentist said he'd have to put a crown on it next,  but there's really no way I can afford that, especially when I have such little faith in that my pain would go away if he drilled it again.   If I just got the stupid tooth pulled once and for all, would that put me out of my misery?   I don't want to lose a tooth, but it's in the back and  unless I smile really big no one will see it....

Thanks

You may have a sinus infection but judging from your description, it sounds like you may be getting a toothache possibly.  Are there any other symptoms such as cold sensitivity, biting pain or anything else besides just the radiating pain from that area?  You may have what we call an irreversible pulpitis in which the pulp of the tooth is dying.

I would like to amend my post... I started on amoxicillin 2 days ago and spiked a mild fever yesterday after starting the drug.   Still in massive pain in and below jaw down the neck toward the thyroid and in the right maxillary sinus .   Also can't chew on right side because of tooth pain.      Whats more, I saw a dentist and I do not have an abscessed tooth per bite wing xrays!

Would there have to be fever to worry about infection spreading in the body?  Lately my cheek, jaw, and especially throat have been painful
