white lumps over both bottom wisdoms

Hi

I have recently being feeling a bit under the weather and have just noticed a white lump over both my bottom 2 wisdom teeth, one on each side.
They're not too painful, more annoying than anything. I googled around incase it is a regular sign on wisdom teeth coming through but couldn't find much so am thinking it could be something else?

Thought i'd ask here before they get any worse as it takes a while to see my dentist.

i even have a lovely photo...

Thankyou lots for your help

Removal of the extra tissue thats getting traumatized, yes.  And its not an emergency unless the area starts to get infected.

As for the xray, you may not have any wisdom teeth at all.  Some people do not grow them, wisdom teeth are the most commonly congenitally missing tooth in the mouth.  My wife for instance only had 2.

Yeah my wisdoms have shown no sign of arrival just yet. Had my mouth Xrayed not so long ago and dentist said he couldn't see any sign of them, which is why i was thinking this is not Wisdom Teeth related.

Biting Trauma? that sounds awful, i didn't think i can even bite that far back what with there being no teeth there!

So you suggest removal but it is no emergency, is that right?

Thankyou for your help  both of you.

You do not have wisdom teeth in that picture.  Wisdom teeth are the 3rd tooth with 3 or 4 tips, you only have 2.

The lump you mentioned looks like a soft tissue growth thats probably induced by biting trauma.  The more it comes between your two molars, the worse its going to get.  The taste of blood is when you break the outer surface upon biting and it bleeds.  I would suggest going to an oral surgeon to remove it.

If there is no bony pathology identified, your presentation is probably fibrous scar tissue, which commonly occurs after wisdom tooth extraction.

p.s. i can also sometimes taste blood.

p.p.s sorry for the gross mouth-shot but thought it'd be easiest!
