Worse in AM???

Have been diagnosed with anxiety.  Had it about 5 years ago and it subsided after a year with no meds.  Was under severe stress in the fall.  Started waking up with left hand in pins and needles, then left foot would be in pins and needles,  I would wake up every morning with this. Then the night panic attacks started.  They have finally subsided.  Have been tested for b-12, lyme, thryoid, sugar, electrolytes, homocystein, CBC.  When I had my bout of anxiety symptoms 5 years ago had an MRI and MRA.  Everything normal.  I am seeing a therapist and she didn't think all symptoms were anxiety.  Thats why I went back to my doctor and she order all the blood work.  I wake up every morning with a hot sensation in my face, neck, arm, chest and leg.  The sensation does subside a bit after I am awake, but never totally goes away.  The face sort of feels tight.  The muscle in  my left eye hurts.  An Opthamologist said eyes are fine.  This happens every morning.  Only the left side.  My toes on both feet are also numb.  I am trying to put these sensations out of my mind but it is hard to do.  I do have a stressful life.  Is it my subconscious that causes these symptoms during the night and wake up with them in the morning?  Does it have something to do with sleep?  And what are they from?  I know I can get through this again with no meds, but these bodily sensations are different than last time.  And why are they just on the left side except for the both feet?   If this don't sound like anxiety, than what else my doctor feels strongly for anxiety and is pushing meds. Thanks

So is it my night panic attacks giving me all these bodily symptoms during the day that never go away or something else.  What exactly is causing the sensations of hotness and numb feet.  Is it circulation, nerves or muscle.  Can anybody give me an answer?  Seems like the doctors don't directly answer your questions.

This does sound like anxiety and stress, and taking medications would not be so terrible, especially during a high tension, short period of time.

All of your symptoms on one side is important only if the symptoms follow a specific neuroanatomical distribution, and your doctor will know that.

A trial of medications is also a good diagnostic. consider it. As those in this forum know, I don't usually favor medications, but in this instance, it may be exactly right for you.

does this pins and needles only happen when sleeping?  did it ever occur while driving?  it needs to be looked into.  if you have a stressful life then that could be why this could be happening.  like your body is telling you it is tired or something. make sure you do get enough sleep and excercise.  and eat healthy and take your vitamins.  I'm no doctor so, i wonder why everything happens on the left side.  I hope you get through this.
