I have been on 1.5mg klonopin for the last 4 years. About two weeks ago, a different doctor, suggested i get off klonopin. Since i was asking for it, i gladly agreed. The doctor suggested, i go down to .5mg for the first week, and then stop it completely. Well, I am going through hell on .5mg. I can not sleep. My entire body hurts. My anxiety/dp/dr has gotten worst. Now, i am afraid of stoping it completely. I ask my doctor to prescribe me any pill that would prevent any potential seizure, however, he doesn't seem to be concerned about it. I have never had a seizure, and i don't want to try it now. Fyi, i am a pill addict, and i am not happy with my decision to accepting klonopin. However, i was on klonopin along with Amitriptyliine and Dyphenhydremine to help me sleep. I have the worst insomnia, which this doctor doesn't seem to be too concerned about, while my previous doctor insisted i stay on it for a while. My previous doctor has been trying to help me with my insomnia for the last 4 years, and we have tried every sleeping pill in the market, without any success. The only thing that has worked for me is, the combinations i mentioned. Dr. Gould, i am desperate and confused. what do u suggest i do? thank u
If you want to continue your withdrawal, you can do it with thata dose easily...just take one every other day for the next week; then one every third day for the third week, then stop.
