Could effexor xr be the reason I lost my baby?

I was taking Effexor xr 150 mg and I became pregnant. I immediately stopped use. I later found out my baby would probably not make it at birth. Well, I gave birth and like they said he had birth defects and the cause was unknown. His bones did not develop properly and his chest was too small for his lings to grow. All of his bones were not formed correctly and they said for some reason when he was conceived the cell that forms bones just did not form. Could effexor xr be the reason? I am still searching for reasons my child did not survive.

I too am very sorry for your loss.
You did everything you reasonably could have to keep your child safe, please don't blame yourself for his death.
Nothing you find will ever bring your son back but perhaps it will give you some closure and if in future you decide to have another child it will offer a degree of reassurance.

I am deeply sorry for your loss.  Words are extremely inadequate.

Take care!!

That is certainly a reasonable possibility to explore since it is usually recommend to stop psychotropic medications when pregnant...in order to be sure you would have to have some one dig deep into the research literature on this medication. Sorry to hear of your loss..
