Dreams during the day driving my relative crazy

I have a relative of mine and she has a really weird thing going on. First of all, she is 19, in good health and good social standing. Great  with friends, she has a boyfriend as well and she does great in school also. The issue started about three years ago. She sometimes feels sick for a moment, because, she says she remembers a bad dream or she is having a deja vu. She told me that she feels sick in the stomach, short of breath and her legs give up. It just lasts for 10-60 seconds but she really suffers. Sometimes it is invoked by a song, sometimes by a smell, or a certain deja vu situation she says. Have you ever heard of enything like this and how can I help her? This seems to be happening more often lately.

Your young friend has what is called a dissociative reaction.  The best thing you can do for her is help her find a well trained psychoanalyst.  It is something that she can be helped with if she gets right person.
