How to safely quit pacil Cr and Klonopin 1 mg

Please i need help on how to undesstand on how to quit Klonopin 1.mg and Paxil Cr 12.5. I feel that these medications are destroyng my life and my brain each day, I have been on Knlonopin for 6 years and every time i try to quit i have horrible withdrwal effects t, the worst is insonmia.

You already received the right answer from Paxiled...I would only add that weaning over a three to four week period, that last week taking the lowest possible dose every third day before you stop, should do what you need, but you also need to take care of your life problems with your intelligent mind.

Hello. As previously stated, you should gradually taper off these meds. Antidepressants (paxil) and benzodiazepines (klonapin) especially. Best wishes, GM

Not the doc, but try reading a book called The AntiDepressant Solution by Joseph Glanville about the Paxil.  The main thing for both is to taper gradually off both, preferably under the care of a psychiatrist who takes this stuff seriously and seems to know what he or she is talking about.  If they pooh pooh consequences, see a different one.
