Ifreeze up when my husband touches me

Im a happily married 27 year old woman. When my husband is not here  all I think about is sex with him. When he is here I avoid him. When he touches me its like I panic my heart races and I freeze up. I used to make excuse like im doing dishes or whatever but it just keeps getting worse! Im all right if we have sex without him touching me. I just dont enjoy it very much. Am I crazy? What should I do? I love my husband and want to be pleased by him and with him can you help?

I believe that the woman is stuck between fantasies of maybe another relationship. she has been in, but this is very hard to explain because maybe it is the relationship between you and your husband.  These are the type of problems I believe you should go see a counselor about.

Christine,

It is difficult to know for sure why you are having this reaction but it may have something to do with the relationship you have with your husband.  Sometimes those who have been abused by someone in the past may have a similar reaction.  Once again this is just speculative and I recommend that you follow through with a pschiatrist or therapist if this issue is persistently causing you distress and effecting your relationship.

Sincerely,

HFHS MD-JM
