Im on Citalopram is this normal

I was researching online about a week ago about people who have mental illnesses and schizophrenia. I was all so looking up the symptoms and reading stories about people who had it. No I think I’m hearing things I read a story about one girl who had a name stuck in her head. Now I have a name stuck in my head "Bob" and I keep thinking things like is bob hungry etc or I wonder what Bob is doing. The thoughts are completely irrational and I know they are. Ive been getting them for about two weeks since I’ve been on Citalopram. Does this mean I am suffering from a severe mental illness or is this my panic and anxiety playing tricks on me once again. My heart races so fast I get dizzy as well and start sweating.

It sounds more like your panic and anxiety playing tricks on you once again.

I think you should discuss this with your doctor.
The timing suggests that the reaction is due to the medication or is a psychological response to the medication.  No, it's not normal that you start having an imaginary friend (that sounds more like one of those electronic pet things).  At least, that's my opinion.
