Just went off Lexapro

I do not have insurance anymore and found out that my Lexapro(10mg) will cost me $109 a month, I can't afford that.  I am in school and only collect unemployment.  So, this past monday was my last day taking it.  Last month I would take it every other day or sometimes every three days.  I just feel kind of weird/strange.  I have been on it for about a year and a half.  I also feel a little light headed if I move my eyes to fast.
I called my dr. to let her know I don't have insurance coverage and if she could put me on something else, she reccomended celexa.  I am hoping this will help, but me switching, will that somewhat make me feel better??  I haven't heard much about celexa.

Escitalopram (Lexapro) is the S-stereoisomer (enantiomer) of the earlier Lundbeck drug Celexa.

They should be very similar.  Cipralex is also the same drug.  If either Celexa or Cipralex is cheaper you should consider them good alternatives.

I agree with the advice that you received from catwalk4. You should have the same result Celexa  that you have had on Lexapro.
