Medication

This is gonna sound strang but maybe is coincedence.I've been taking Zoloft for about two months for anxiety and depression.  My doctor recently increased my dosage of Zoloft from 50mg to 75mg. I'm taking 50mg in the morning and 25mg at night. What I was doing was cutting a 50mg tablet in half for the night time dose. I did that for a week and a half and started to feel better. Here is the weird part, because of insurance reasons when I went to refill my Zoloft they gave me a bottle of 50mg and a bottle of 25mg. I started taking the 25mg pill at night and now I'm feeling weird. What's up? I'm starting to feel strange, Irritable, and today I'm very anxious. I dont know what's going on. I'm also taking 2mg of Ativan a day. Is it my imagination or is there a difference between taking a 25mg tablet or cutting a 50mg tablet in half.

Yes, I am actually seeing a psychiatrist and a psychologist. I have been doing this for about 2 months. My biggest frustration is trying to find the right medication. Peoples chemical make up are so different it's even a guessing game for psychiatrist as far as finding the right meds for people

Did you try going to a therapist? Phychologist might help you significantly reduce your anxiety in addition to taking just medicines. Try some self-help resources on the web too, but a professional therapist is the most reliable approach.

There is no difference between taking 25mg pill or half of  50.  Your anxiety may have some other cause and should think about talking to a therapist if the prescribing doctor is a gp rather than a psychiatrist.
