Imbalance and Disequilibrium, not dizziness

Recently I started having this feeling of imbalance, as if the ground were not completely flat.  It is not a spinning sensation.  I know anxiety can bring about imbalance, so let me say that the most recent stress I had was when I had acid reflux so bad that I couldn't eat solid food for a few days.  I have been getting better so I should not feel anxious about it.  Other than that, I am not stressed out about things such as school.  It is for that reason that I do not believe this is stress based.

However, the last time I had this imbalance was a few months ago towards the end of the school semester.  I was not overly stressed at the time.  During summer vacation, I got better.  Summer vacation is a time of lower stress.  This leads me to believe that this may be a stress problem.

What are the chances that this imbalance is a stress issue?

Thanks

This sounds like anxiety, and having panic and anxiety and not knowing why you have initialy is quite common.  that is why people go into psychotherapy, to find out what they are hiding from themself. If there are other neurological signs, you should get a physical exam as well.

oh, forgot to mention, I have never had panic attacks before but I have had three or four of them in the last two weeks.  I swear I do not feel stressed, but a panic attack is an obvious sign of anxiety right?
