Derealization/Depersonalization

For 3 weeks now, I've been a fog! Not even in my sleep am I free from it, since my dreams are weird and unnerving. I keep trying to find the answer in my head about something that's bothering me, hoping it will snap me back to reality. Can't hold a thought, have to map out every minute, feel like I'm in a dreamlike state, dizzy, scared and confused! WTF happened?!

I have depersonalization too.
Don't mean to scare you but I have had it for 6 months. There are ways for you to cope with it.Take your mind off it.If it's triggered by anxiety just calm down, stop stressing over stuff etc.
If you got it from substance abuse I recommend you go seeing a psychiatrist.

Take your mind off it for a week or two and it should go away.Try playing video games, hanging out with friends, watching TV....try everything and if you really can't do anything about it go see a psychiatrist and he may recommend you some therapy or meds.

I wouldnt try playing video games I would try something that makes you more socially involved such as having a conversation with someone. You need something that brings you back to reality not something to pull you further away and video games are not reality therefore may not be helpful

I had depersonalization really bad....its very scarry.....but when I calm down it goes away but its one of those things that are very easy to bring back on just by thinking about it. So when you allow the anxiety to settle try to keep yourself focused on anything else in order to not bring the depersonalization back.
