dara,
you switched to celexa from zoloft I see, is it working better for you ?
I am still on the zoloft, went from 150 mg back down to 100 mg.
At 150 mg I thought I was going to pop out of my skin. I was triple anxiety read to pop. Stopped taking zanax because I didn't want to have to take something I might get addicted to.
But I am seeing a physiciatrist in a couple of weeks to see if the combination of Buspar and Zoloft is really the best for me.
Of course also to have someone listen to the long tale of woe is me. lol. We all feel better when we talk to people. Thats why we are here. I just never realized there were so many of us.

I read the questions and answer to the people on Celexa. I have been on many antidepressants. I have been on Celexa for the past three months and for the first time in my life, I feel truly happy. It took about two months for the big difference to be noticed. Anxiety is less and I enjoy the most simple things with my family now. I only wish this drug had been around years ago.
No you should not feel euphoric. Basically the medication makes you more even tempered, less painfully depressed, a bit insulated from distress. It is not a solution to the problems in life that may be getting you down. Those have to be dealt with directly by yourself, seeing a therapist, or online with a program like the masteringstress( above link).
I was so glad to see yor post. I am also on Celexa, but for about three weeks. I also wonder if it is working for me. My anxiety is pretty predominate, and I can't make plans in advance because I'm not certain how I will feel. I am looking forward to the Doctors response to you. All the best.
