Suppose you or someone you love is ill...

JB
Suppose you or someone you love is ill with an acute exacerbation of a debillitating medical condition that has potentially life threatening consequences. The individual has been receiving treatment with a specialist who has 20+ years of experience in his/her field. The ill person is making progress that is obvious to everyone around him/ her and is healthier that ever. Then the medical facility where your loved one is being treated notifies you that they don't want to pay to keep your expensive specialist on staff anymore because they are too expensive, but they will gladly refer you and/or your loved one to a GP who has some years of experience in a similar field. Question: Would you want to discuss your feelings of loss with the potential replacement?

I can understand your frustration with the changes being made in your loved one's treatment plans. You may find it helpful to discuss your feelings with the physician's replacement.

So you would start out the treatment with the less expensive, less experienced, less educated person your case has been given to by telling her your feelings about how inadequate she is in comparison with the prior therapist? How is that likely to benefit anyone?
