ST
I have been reading where hypothyroidism and hyperthyroidism can both be linked to depression. My question is, can hyperparathyroidism also be linked to depression?

Dear  ST
The abnormalities in thyroid, adrenal and growth hormones were found to be contributing to the development of mood disorders (depression /bipolar disorders) . Other hormonal abnormalities ( melatonin, prolactin, testosterone etc )  were found to be related to mood  disorders in some patients. Some studies showed that depression and psychosis may occur in hyperparathyroidism,. I hope this information is helpful to you.
