doctor cut me off my klonopin cold turkey is this legal

I have been seeing my pychiatrist for over 7 years and have been prescribed 5 mgs of klonopin daily for the entire time i seen her.  I also was prescribed prozac and remeron.  She told me last week that she was not prescribing me anymore medications and did not want me as a patient anymore due to a ereason that had nothing to do with my medications.  Is it legal for her to just stop giving me the klonopin knowing i have been on this dose for such a long time and knowing i can die and have seizures from the withdrawal symtoms.  I have called my primary care and he advidsed me to go to the ER to be evaluated as I will be out of my klonopin in a few days.  I just dont know why she wuldnt taper me off the medication and just  kick me out of her practice and not prescribe me something to stoop the withdrawals .  my main question i guess is if its legal for her to do this ofr is this a case of malpractice.

I do not know if it is legal, but you are right it is dangerous, and you should find a way to go off klonopin over a 3 week period, gradually lowering the dose, ending with the lowest possible every third day until you stop.  By the way, the remeron would probably cover you for seizures, so be sure and continue that while withdrawing.

My doctor has been prescribing me suboxone for a year or so for opiate abuse. Is it my choice to stay on the medication, or can he stop prescribing it whenever he feels?. In my opinion im not ready and im scared that i'll inevitably go back to active addiction once he does stop seeing me, but i wanted to know if i actually had any say in this whatsoever.
