lexapro withadrawls

im so glad i found you guys, i  identifiy with everything, especially the ZAPS  i just want to know when does it STOP!  please someone give me hope. thank you

im sorry, im just so fuzzy. i was on lexapro for almost 2 yrs. started out on 10mg than 20, 30 for depression i do not want to live on pills the rest of my life so i decided to wean off after almost 2yrs. i started  slowly at 20mg for 2 wks  than went down to 10 for a week, and then every other day 10mg  for a wk. and now im every 2 days 10mg into my 1st. wk please tell me this gets better, i believe i can do it, but when its happening its horrible. thank you lisa p

Lisa, I don't see any information here re how long the withdrawal, how much you were on, and how long did you take to get off the lexapro.   If you did it slowly over a three week period as I have described before, you should not be having any or very few zaps...if not, then it could take weeks.

It definitely is not a fun experience.  It will get better, day by day.  Be patient and know things will get better.    Do your best to keep stresses to a minimum, sleep as well as you can, exercise if you can.

Take care of yourself.  Let us know how you are feeling every so often, okay?
