Tremors and Depression due to Zoloft?

I am an American, but I live and work in a humanitarian position in a 3rd world country with a sizable muslim population. I am seeing a US General Practioner here and seeing a counsellor for clinical depression related to 9/11 and other experinces and was put on Zoloft. After +2 months I began experiencing all-over tremors and was switched to Amitriptozole(sic), the 2nd of three meds available here. After +3 weeks off Zoloft, the tremors have not abated at all. There are no neurologists here and I don't want to go home.  I take no other drugs other than Chloroquine and Proguanil for malaria prevention, I don't drink, smoke, or drink caffeinated beverages, and I have limited my salt intake. I try to exercise but lately the tremors and the Amitriptozole have been debilitating. The tremors seem aggravated by exercise and when they are bad, I become unsure of my footing. Though I haven't fallen yet, I tripped climbing stairs because of them. I also have trouble typing, and sometimes expressing my thoughts clearly, though that may be the 2nd med. I feel the tremors inside me when I lay down. Others can see the tremors in my hands if I bring their attention to it, or feel them like when I try to move my leg or arm against their pressure.

How long should it take for the tremors to stop if they were induced by Zoloft? How long can I safely live with these tremors without going home if they don't stop? What else could be causing them? Anything dangerous?

Zoloft is out of the system in seven days so that she no longer be the problem. You can ask your doctor about Inderal to stop the tremors, and  you might want to stop your second medication as well.  If no improvement, then you would need a complete workup to find out the origin of the tremors.

I probably put the wrong title, can you please answer these questions? Stated again, how long can it take for tremors to wear off after stopping zoloft? If the cause is not zoloft, what can it be from? Anything dangerous? We are currently in Africa and would have to come home for further tests? How long can we safely wait before doing this?
