Weaning off Paxil after 3months and a week

I was prescribed Paxil CR, 12.5mg for anxiety.  I have been on it for about 3 months and week.  It helped somewhat but there are days when I don't feel like myself.  I would rather make some lifestyle changes to combat my anxiety.  So, my doctor told me to stop taking it.  I was afraid because of the horror stories that I've heard.  So, he gave me a prescription for the regular Paxil; take 2 10mg for the first 3 days and then 1 pill a day for two days.  I have the prescription...but I haven't taken it yet.  I've discontinued use 3 days ago and so far, I feel fine.  My question to you is, When does withdrawal symptoms kick in?  And how long does it last?

Thanks.

They usually start right away within a day or two but some people do not have withdrawal symptoms at all and you may be one of the lucky ones.  If you do have symptoms you might consider a slower withdrawal over a three-week period before you stop.

I'm going on the my 2nd week off paxil cr, 12.5mg.  I think I'm one of the lucky few because I've had very little withdrawal effects after being on it for 3mos and a week.  I've only had chills...but that only lasted off and on for a day.
