An update on my progress I have been going through the CBT and it has really showcased my problems I was spending too much time working simple 12 -15 hours a day not switching off.
I have been doing exercise a lot more which helps. But had a lapse recently but working through it at least I can recognise the problem I basically need a break.
I agree with you. It sounds very much like the stress of your job and other problems in living are getting to you. I can offer you some additional immediate help. You should continue with the CBTbut you can also go to my site, my virtual shrink.com. There you can work on your job stress and your finances for as little as five dollars. Try it and it will help you create an action plan to deal with the problems of living, and that should help with your stress.
Hi. I hope lowering your stress level helps, which it may. Another thing, besides what I've already mentioned, would be to keep a daily journal of that days events and any feelings you have, maybe even rating your stress level from 1 to 10 as you may be able to notice patterns or correlations between events and reactions. Let us know how things are going and best wishes-GM
Its weird as somedays I can feel perfectly fine like today for example. But other days I can feel terrible. Almost like a zombie my head dull and empty.
It effects my behaviour for sure.
Lets say it is stress which I think it probably is I think I need to cut that down. My wife is getting a part time job and our mortgage is coming down next month so I think this will help.
I think I have put myself under too much pressure for one person alone and it is catching up on me now.
I think if I can reduce my monthly bills this will help ease my stress.
Hi. Some psychological conditions can cause a perception of physical symptoms- those with depression may experience muscle aches and those with anxiety disorders may have chest pains and shortness of breath. You mention that your occupation is very stressful- stress alone can cause a myriad of problems and even shorten ones life if excessive. As far as a diagnosis, in my opinion it is far beyond the scope of this forum as you seem to have both psychological and physical symptoms. However, some things to look at as far as stress goes, its important to "decompress" or release it in a healthy way. If it is suppressed or kept inside, yes it can build up over time and can cause all sorts of negative effects. Some of the ways to achieve relief include exercise, eating well and getting enough rest. Sometimes just talking to someone else can improve things as expressing your feelings and concerns will provide a release if you are trying to deal with these things alone. I have anxiety and depressive disorders as well as PTSD, and I see a therapist, take medication, try to help others, and use support groups to cope. These are not necessarily what you may need, that would be best evaluated by a professional. I would reccomend consulting a physician, and keep posting here as you are not alone- sharing a common problem with others can be healing in itself. Take care, GM
not on any medication I am not sure to be honest I think it is psychological. Its almost as if I cant cope with things like I used to be able to . I get stress or something goes wrong and I cant cope.
Any sort of pressure and I feel drained or sick.
I have had stress in my job for years and I amd just thinking has it finally caught me up.
Or could it be physical I dont know. If it was physical what could make you feel like this in your head drained.
Hi. Are your symptoms physical or psychological? Are you on any medications or have other medical conditions? Please advise, GM-
