Buspar/Heart Pal[itations

I recently started taking buspar, and have had some nasty stomach side effects and heart skipping. I went to the hospital got a stomach CT and an EKG, they said i was fine, but i wasn't having the skipping problems when they took the EKG, i'm really nervous cause i dont know what i should do since they said i'm fine, do i need to go back and get checked out again because i hear if your meds cause this you should talk to your doctor. Or is it possible that anxiety is just causing all of these palpitations and such? i also have something called depersonalization, so that's not helping, but my palpitations make my heart feel very weird and i'm just not sure what to do since they said i was fine, could someone please help me..

I began taking Buspar 5 days ago, and have experienced heart palpitations and severe headaches upon waking in the AM.  It felt as though I had to hold my chest tightly to keep my heart from jumping out of it (lame analogy, but that's how it felt).  I am also taking Prozac in the AM, and Trazadone at bedtime.  I'm 53, and have never been on ANY medications, so this is all new to me.  Any input?

The thing im worried about is when i had my ekg my heart wasnt skipping, and they did mention something about a low heart rate, i'm stopping the buspar tommorow, do you think i need to get more tests or would the EKG have seen something even if it wasnt skipping at the time

Heart skipping can come from either the medication or anxiety, but is almost always benign if they say so on the ekg reading.  You could stop the buspar and see what happens...
