What is considered an "overdose?"  In other words, how many mg makes too many mgs?

Sorry Bixby, I'm really worried now.  There are lots of ways you can get help if you're feeling suicidal.  You can go to ANY emergency room and say "I'm feeling suicidal" and they WILL help you.  Do not worry about health insurance or if they have a mental health ward there--let someone else worry right now, they'll just transport you by ambulance to another facility if they think you can get better treatment somewhere else that specializes in that.  So you can just go to where it is easiest for you to get to.  You can ask any police officer for help and they will help get you to a hospital.  You can go into your Dr.'s office and tell them.  You can go to a fire station and tell one of the firemen.  There are a thousand ways to get help when you are feeling suicidal.  All you have to do is find the strength and courage to TELL someone.  Just squeeze out that one sentence and let people get you to a safe place.

I apologize if you really were just curious and I'm overreacting.  I just don't want someone to die because people didn't see the warning signs and tell them how to get help.

I'm just guessing here, but isn't it in general a bad idea to give a person *instructions* on how to overdose on a particular medication?  Bixby didn't say, "My doctor has me taking x mg of this medication.  Could that be too close to toxicity levels?"  Bixby asked how many mg of that medication, alone or in combination with another drug, would cause an OD.  Am I alone on this?  Doesn't this set off alarms for anyone else?!

Bixby, if you are suicidal, please please please get help.  You can call the National Hopeline at 1 800 SUICIDE if you think you're feeling suicidal.  If you're unsure, check them out at http://www.hopeline.com/.  They're really good.  They're privately owned and they will do everything to protect you're confidentiality, and send medical help if it's an emergency instead of the police.  There is lots of information on their website.  If it's not quite to that point but you need people to talk to, there are tons of people on this website who understand what it's like to deal with mental health problems.  I'm sure we'd love to try to listen and help you work through your problems.

Simple Google search can answer your question. 20mg is the maximum daily dose. That is for people that has a really high tolerance. Everything above that is probably an overdose.

Clonazepam.  I want to know what constitutes an overdose of clonazepam.  What other medications in combination with the clonazepam can add to an overdose effect?
