sore throat side effect

I have just begun taking Budeprion SR. 150 milligrams a day. The paper the pharmacy gave me said to contact a dr immediately if I got a sore throat. I have a sore throat, and I want to know if I need to stop taking the medication. On another website, throat irriatation is listed as a rare side effect. I called my dr, and the nurse looked it up and said that sore throat was listed as a side effect. So, I am confused. Should I stop taking the medication? Is this a dangerous side effect? Or should I continue taking the medication?

Is a sore throat a side-effect or a sign of an allergy?  I guess you would probably know that by now.  If it's affecting your breathing in anyway definitely get it checked out.
Definitely check with your doctor, and not the nurse (unless you trust them), and take it from there.

There are no prominent warnings re sore throat in terms of danger, but you should double check with your doctor and pharmacist...there might be more current information they have that has just been released.
