when will zoloft stop anxiety

i lost my job about six weeks ago, and immediately became and anxious and started having panic attacks. i remember having panic attacks about two and a half years ago, and my doctor started me at 25 mg of zoloft and worked me up to about 150mg in three weeks time. i don't remember exactly how long it took for the anxiety to go away, i think about 5 weeks. this time she put me on 150mg of zoloft immediately. i have been taking the zoloft for six weeks now, and am not as bad as i was, but i am still feeling anxious, tightness in chest, difficulty taking a deep breath, etc. can it take this long for zoloft to work, should i be worried? it worked before, shouldn't it work again? i am still not working, so maybe that is part of what is keeping me anxious. also, would vitamins and exercise help, or would they make things worse?

The medication Zoloft is very effective for depression but is not a great medication for anxiety. Ask your doctor about switching you to Klonopin. Exercise will help but getting a job will help much more. Vitamins will help with your immune system but won't affect the anxiety level. Keep plugging away at getting the job, it's the best medicine.
