You could always do something that you consider to be fun. Getting lost in a hobby or doing something new is guarantee to help pass the time. You could also try getting out of the house, even alone --go to the beach, catch a movie, go sight seeing, those work for me. Reconnect with friends and plan a day to just catch up and enjoy each other's company. If you have no friends, make some.

Basically keeping yourself occupied helps. Exercise is one of the best ways.
Aside from meds and therapy, exercise is something that is really beneficial, finding things to do on a day to day basis to keep yourself occupies..leave yourself with no time to feel depressed! Im working on the issue myself!
