Am I Mentally ill

I have been in and out of hospital for the past four years all through my teenage years i was in sucure units and at the age of 19 i am back in a acute ward again i have been in for 17 weeks and agree with my doctor when i went in 17 weeks ago i was not myself but i know feel so much better and don't feel i need to be in hospital.
My doctor has diagonised me with: Borderline personality disorder, server dipression and post tramatic stress disorder. He has also changed all my medication but i feel i don't need it and for the past week i have not been taking it which my doctor is getting annoyed with and keeps saying if i don't take it he will inject me with it, the thing is since i have stopped taking my med's i have started to feel so much better and i do not wish to take it. What can i say to my doctor to get out of hospital and to stop having to take my medication?
Please please please help me!!!!

How did you get access to a computer and the Internet in the hospital?

i second venora's comments.  take your meds and go into regular psychoanalysis.  you may however also want to consult with another psychiatrist if possible as some opinions certainly differ about the diagnosis' you mention.  also,  you probably feel better because of you meds and the fact that you've been off them for a week is irrelevant as they havent left your system yet and are still working.   stay on, and stay in therapy.

I wouldn't want to be responsible for encouraging you to stop your meds if they are holding you together some how or if your brain is now changed and physically dependent  on the drugs.

You will have to be careful and this means also careful of coercive medical people. If you get a second opinion it will be a clone derived from the prejudicial  existing records. Can you get an opinion from a psychologist who is independent?

I do know of more than one case of making a person clinically depressed with medication. Few of these manufactured mental patients dare to challenge the drug treatment. I also know that what you report is possible. The drugs can be the problem.

You will find the best advice in how to protect your rights to your own body and to refuse drugging from  They know their stuff. They have helped the medically imprisoned reagian their lives.

Your doctor is not making an idle threat. She can do this against the law and get away with it.  She also can get a court order to force drugs and ECT. It is so very easy. So listen carefully. Do not make a stand. Be nice. Be quiet,.Smile patiently but not constantly.  Say that you are so much better now from their efforts that you can function well. Do not cause any antagonism. This can be dangerous. Then go home and contact MindFreedom International at. These people have been there. Some are now attorneys. They have contacts. They have procedures. They give a damn.

MFI has a program for members called The Shield. When one member is in danger, the group goes to work for the member. Do this. An attorney is good but not certain protection.  Do this while you still can get to a computer!  In the meantime, don't make waves., and do not tell anyone that someone on the internet told you how to protect yourself. It is MIndFreedom.com. Be safe.

Please take your meds  How did you end up in the hospital. You obviously needed help. dont turn the help down when it is there ofr you. the hospital is probably making you feel better but what about when you get out?Life will come at you full force and the meds can help you thorugh this.I am bi polar myself so I can totally understand how you are feeling. been suicidal and I dont ever wnat to feel that way again.I take my meds and go to therapy.I have a wonderful life now and you can have a wonderful life too.Its no big deal to take the meds. you just take them and get on with living.
Please reconsider and remeber how you felt before you got in the hospital. you are in my prayers.
