Every med works differently for different people. Initially when I took wellbutrin it did nothing. Now I'm on it with a combination of other meds and it works for me. But like I said, different for everyone. I know they always say it takes 4-6 weeks for you to notice a difference, but usually can tell by the next few days. Everyone is different- if your dr perscribed it then you should take it unless you have genuine concerns- then talk to your dr some more about it until you feel more comfortable taking it, or some other med.
thank you for your advice
Yes. Take it. Your meds are there to help you. Not everyone experiences relief from anti depressants, however many do.
My experience with wellbutrin was that it did not improve my depression. I had to change my lifestyle, increase my physical activity, regulate my sleep and diet, and develop meaningful ways of using my time. However, if your symptoms are a result of a chemical imbalance and not lifestyle factors, the medication will help. If it doesnt, your therapist will be able to prescribe alternative medications and therapies, but you need to follow his prescriptions and find out what works.
