Effector withdrawal and support

Does any one know the lenght of time it takes to get off Effextor?  My son has gone cold turkey about 45 days ago.  He is a wreck.  Right now I am concerned because it appears he is walking around in his sleep?  Yet he is not a sleep.  He is hard to understand when he talks and get frustrated because I can't understand him.
Also how can I support him through this - I commended him on what he is doing.  However, it is scary and I want to know if anyone can provided me guideance in helping him withdraw from this stuff.

He literally is having something similar to a seizure from lack of Serotonin, Noradrenaline that was provided by the drug. The brain is trying to repair and it can't. PLease please go to a dr.

Oh no, never go cold turkey off of an ssri or a benzodiazepine. There are so many consequences. He looks like a wreck because he is. Go to a dr they will place him back on the effexor and ween him off slowly. To go cold turkey his mind is a mess it cancause seizures and even worse things. HIs mind is trying to rewire itself but basically it is just misfiring because it is now missing the chemicals that were once there. It takes a while to come off of a drig like effexor safely. it is never safe to come off cold turkey unless it is a medical necessity and under constant supervision of a physician.
