I wish people understood depression and the feeling of just wanted to be alone.

My family and friends keep wanting to get me involved in things, but I just want to be left alone. I know that is not a the"healthy" way of dealing w/ depression, but that is all I want most days. I'm numb. I want my physical life back again. I'm angry and I don't want to be around all my friends who play on teams and are physically active. I can't hold the tears back when I'm around them. Any active people out there going through this, who I could have a friend in who understands?

PS. I have back/neck injuries from a MVA 7 months ago.

Skiing is one of my favorite activities :( This will be my first season not skiing...unless things get better quick!  Can you still ski? Best of luck w/ your singing tonight....sounds like a good outlet for keeping your mind of depression.

Take Care

I know how you feel, sux huh??? Think of this time, as a time to heal yourself emotionally, spiritually, and physically, Try not to worry about what your friends are up, your taking time out for you thats all, and when your well again you'll be back out there doing what you do best.

like your user name btw =)

i do understand. i have to sing tonight (and the singing does help the depression) but it will take everything to get me out of this bed and dressed and ready to perform. I have back injuries from a skiing accident in 96 that really boosted the depression. sigh
