Hello,
Thanks for your responce boy this is not easy for sure......was a tough weekend just can only hope it gets better from here on out! My doctor does want to get the pristiq and tradozone out of my system before she starts me on the lexipro, I will start at on a low dose but she says that is where you have to start at to see how it works and would be bumped up to 20 mg! Thanks agian

Yes perhaps its a starter dose. I have some knowledge of medications but I let people know the sites I got my info. from (other than the research sites which might be above some people's understanding) so they can look them up themselves. I've never taken anti-depressents except for Anafranil for ocd when I was misdiagnosed. If its a question of medication interactions though the question should be posed to your psychiatrist without question. Any changes in medication especially interactions have to come from a psychiatrist.

ILADV knows lots more than I do, and perhaps can add further to this. This sounds like it will be a rough patch for you to go through for the next month, since your earlier post a few days ago had mentioned how difficult work was with your depression. I presume you told this to your doctor.
Lexapro 10 sounds like it will be a low dose considering the normal starter dose is 20.

Well then in that case two things are happenning. First of all you are having physical withdrawal symptoms. If they get worse call your psychiatrist and ask what to do. But if he said you have to wait 3 weeks there would be a reason and most probably the medication will interact with the others so you have to stay off them to have them get out of your bloodstream. Ask your psychiatrist if this is the case though but if it is as with any other instruction from your psychiatrist it has to be followed. But ask them what to do within those 3 weeks if symptoms return in the meantime and if there's something they can prescribe. And you can find out more info. on any medication on websites such as "Depression Central" and speak to your psychiatrist about that.

Aren't you now on a new drug? What is it?
Can you reach a pharmacist now for more information on those withdrawal effects?
