Is this a "brain zap"?

Lately ive been feeling like my eyes cant keep up when i turn my head, kindof like i skip a beat in my eyes like a spasm maybe... i just switched from zoloft to wellbutrin after tapering & started on wellbutrin a week ago... so im sure thats the reason, but i was just curious if thats what im feeling? And also how long it lasts? its frustrating. it makes me sick to my stomach sometimes too

No i weaned pretty slowly over a week & didnt have any of the side effects... Only side effects im feeling now is this... It just feels like my eyes kinda skip a beat & kinda have like a reflex type motion

Congratulations on your pregnancy, and I am so sorry you are experiencing problems at the moment.  Did you just stop the Zolfot and go straight on to the Wellbutrin?  Zaps are like an electric current rushing through your head.  I have had them myself, and people experience them when they withdraw from some anti depressants.  Usually they settle down, but difficult to say how long  if will take.  

I think you are probably just feeling the early effects of going onto another medication.  This should settle down soon.  As you know some anti depressants can take 6-8 weeks to have any effect, and sometimes we can feel worse before we feel better.  You have stopped one antidepressant and gone onto another, and your body is having to adjust to the change.

Hopefully everything will settle down for you in a while.  Let us know how you get on.

The doctor took me off of zoloft + adderall due to pregnancy & put me on the wellbutrin... Zoloft was working great for me. Despite gaining 40+lbs over a one year span, i felt great! My depression & anxiety were completely resolved! But the dr was affraid of possible birth defects & said this was a better choice. I feel drained & the eye problem + vertigo type feelings...
