marijuana=paranoia and anxiety for alot of people. whether it stunts your growth, im not sure. but do you really want to walk around paranoid and anxious all the time?
lol @ pot being the gateway drug... for me the 'gateway' drug was cigarettes ,, then I tried alchohol THEN I tried other things..... but the nicotine in cigarettes was my first chemical 'love'.
Iv heard and met people who tried smoking the first time at unbelievably young ages,, 6 and up! Im sure this is due to availablity,, but its still legal! lol crazy laws in this country *dizzy from it*

Stop my young friend. I've been down pot's road. At your age the effects of the chemical interactions could, and will, be devastating to your future. The problem with pot in the long term is that it almost always leads to other things. I smoked it for 10 years before I tried anything else. Now a few years later I'm also a member on the substance abuse forum for an addiction to opiates. I did coke, other stimulants, and the worst, believer ot or not, just check out the substance abuse forum, are opiate based pain killers. I suggest you go to the substance abuse forum and ask this question there. Read some of the posts where drug addiction leads. Trust me. There is a reason why pot is called the gateway drug.
Stop smoming the weed eat healthy and exercise you will start to feel better about yourslef.

I wouldnt worry about how long you've been doing it... your still growing and that means your body has a much better chance of healing itself and bringing the balance back faster than it will the longer it continues and the older you get. Its not irreversible so long as you stop before the age when your brain and body stop growing. The choice is ultimately yours and quite frankly illegal or not atleast your not huffing fumes that can cause instant brain damage. Pot doesnt cause brain damage, but it does mess with the hormone chemicals your brain uses and produces by stopping them from doing their jobs. Just like any chemical, the long term effects are dependant on the lenght of time the chemicals are used as to whether or not the body/brain can fully recover and go back to their natural way of dealing with things.

damm but i been smokin for about 2 years
Dusty is right on about that,, putting any kind of chemicals into your body on a regular basis changes the over all chemistry of the body and mind. and this is particularly true during the important growth and developmental stage your in now at 15.
Life gives us alot of challenges, but at the stage of develpment as you are in right now, using drugs/alchohol to numb yourself from those challenges or to escape from the stress's of life will have a big impact on your mental health in the future. The paranoia can and may become permanent as well as be quickly followed by anxiety (which you may be experincing now) neither of which will improve if your taking chemicals into your body to suppress those stress hormones because the brain is being blunted in its ability to process them on its own by the chemicals your adding.
