Meds

My pdoc and I are trying to find out what will help me. I have been on zolof (200) with doxapin (for sleep) as I have trouble sleeping and staying asleep.  Then switched to trazadone(200-100) for sleep.  Then I went over to celexa(60) and (100) trazadone.  I felt too doped and sleepy.  We switched to bupropion (100), 20 celexa and 50 trazadone.  Still fuzzy headed so today I'm now on brupropion 150, 20 celexa and 100 trazadone.  Maybe I can find myself.  I'm starting to go back to see a therapist to see if talking will help.  One day . . . Thanks for listening.

Hi

Maybe you want to start a new thread?  It ia an antidepressant (lots of information on the internet)  with lots of bad stories as they get posted more than the good ones!!

I took this drug. I took 225mg per day . it worked well.

Some people have difficulty giving it up , but I didnt have any trouble.

Thanks for responding!  It helps to post and I talked to my therapist about 3 years ago, but thought that I didn't need her.  It helps to talk to someone who is not judgemental.  CU

None of those antidepressants or anti-anxiety drugs effect Norephinephirene Reuptake.

You may want to ty an SNRI. Thay can often work when other meds do not help much.

As for sleep. May I suggest Xanax before bed. It is mild at low dosages and you will sleep like a baby on it. It have a very short half life so by morning the sedative effects are gone.

I think talk therapy is extremely important. As a society we rely on meds to be the "magic pills".  If anything talking with someone will teach you how to cope right? What you're doing is great. Don't expect miracles, but you will feel better.  FInding the right meds takes time. Our brains are complex and uniquely wired, what works for one person may not work for another. Hang in there, it will get better!
