My son depression

I have a son 22 y old . We was on college almost finish his 4 yeas  premed . He quit the las semester and divide to leave home aye movep out with a friends  and moved to other state. He started working  on UPS package dept. He visite me today for Mother's Day. He spend two dad waving tv almost no talking gain a lot weight. When i observing him I saw that he daddy have good care of him, dirty, using bad words, and etc. I know that he is depressed but he fade to want to be help only he responding if you star again and  repeat and repeat that I have to back to school I leaving now. His father is no much help His father reply in front of him leave him alone a don't  asking question. But I know he needs help. I don't know how to approach to him please I need a guide how Te helping him.

I'm 20 with depression too, it can be hard but just stay supportive. Everyone acts differently under this condition, being alone is sometimes all he may want but won't want to feel alone. Swearing may be his anger rising from his low moods. Maybe look into depression and find help guides online
