New medicine

I was recently in the hospital and discharged with new meds.  I am now taking 1000 mgs. of Depakote for my seizures and also for depression, 200 mg. of Topramax for to stablize the moods swings and 20 mg of Zydis.  But the Topramax I believe is absolutey not a good durg for me. At first it was great because it was the first time in years that I was able to sleep, but the I was having terrible dreams and almost sleep walking and actually falling asleep while sittling on the toilet,, plus the words do not come out of my mouth.  They are in my brain, but they get all scrambled on their way out.   What is you thought on this med........

Roger,

Unless this is a short term side effect (doc will know) back to the doc and stop it with their advice. It sounds a nightmare.

Larry? What are you talking about mate? Wrong thread perhaps? I hope so as the poster is actually looking for help.

I would go back to the doctor and tell of your problems, as you cannot function day to day like this.  This medicine seems to be having an adverse affect on you.  But don't just stop it on your own, do it under the guidance of your doctor.  It could also be the combination of drugs, but either way, see your doctor.
