New to this community

I just wanted to make a first post ( not really a question ) after reading other post on this thread. I can relate to many of these post. I live in almost complete isolation and nothing seems to make me happy. I have much anxiety about going out in public, that even going to the shops to purchase things I need seem like a massive chore. I'll be posting more details in time, but I'm too tired to type much at the moment. There is a lot of info in my " about me " on my profile that pertains to this as well.

Basically, this is my introduction to this community and any advice is welcome. If I can give any decent advice myself, I certainly will, or at least try to.

I posted a very lengthy post in another group/community, but it never was posted. I hope this post goes through, or I'll just be wasting my time here. The other social media sites I used to belong to and totally detest, due to sarcastic answers to sincere questions or post and the trolls that just want to play games and amuse themselves....   well anyway, you just post something under a specific group title. Simple as that. This site has me all confused,

Hey, don't give up so soon.  This site doesn't have as many users as the large social media outlets and very few of us respond to posts, but there also are seldom any trolls on here.  What you're describing sounds like a mix of depression and agoraphobia, which is just a word that is used when we have so many phobias and keep getting new ones we start spending more and more of our time not going out of the house.  This can be the result of depression or the cause of it.  The advice is always pretty much the same for all of us, though that doesn't make it easy at all to do or guarantee it will work -- therapy with a psychologist who is best qualified to give you a working diagnosis and a treatment plan, and, when it gets as bad as it is for you now, probably medication, which would be an antidepressant so you can get stabilized.  Know that, and I know, this is really hard to do, that the more you avoid, the worse the disorder gets, so isolating yourself more and more makes it worse and worse.  Successful treatment, if you can find it, will be aimed at getting you back out there and functioning with more comfort.

I should have stated that the medication would be prescribed by a psychiatrist.  And please, get started fixing this as soon as you can.  Tell us what you've tried so far.  The longer it goes on, the harder it is to change the pattern your thinking has taken.  It is that pattern you  need to alter, if possible.
