You can get off it. You just need to taper off very slow.

Even with a very slow taper off method, you can still expect to feel lousy for a good 6 to 12 weeks.

BTW, when you do finnaly stop AD medication treatment, keep in mind that the odds of you suffering relaps are very high.

Unfortunatly just albout all AD medication (including Paxil) cause withdrawl symptoms when discontinued.

I don't really know of any remidy for the withdrawl. If you know of a natural remidy for Antidepressant withdrawl, please share with me. I have tried everything and can't find any remidy that helps.

One person mentioned 5-HTP. I tried that for a long time and it had no effect for me. maybe it will work for you.

hello,
got off once before this time around. paxil is the most difficult SSRI to get off of. I now take 5HTP (natural suplement) #1 precursor for anti depressant. of course nobody is talking about it. it's been helping me tremendously to ease the pain of withdrawl. find an MD who is specialized in eastern medicine who can guide you through this. good luck
