Pooping Blood

Ok im worried,
My boyfriend of 31 years old, this morning pooped blood. Iv have said to him he needs to see a doctor but he refuses (he told me god will take him when he wants him) so i kind of need to be the doctor. I asked if he'd eaten somthing diffrent and he said no. But iv noticed he drinks very often (maybe at least 1 everynight) some nights he will say his hungry but then go's to eat but says noo beer will fill him up (his stomach gets bloated and looks like his pregnant lol). he eats like 1 meal a day. and smokes maybe 2 packs a day. I dont know if any of this have somthing to do with it. He is a very hard working guy, very stressed lately (a manager of a resort) starts work in between 12pm and 3pm (depends how busy) and dont get home till in between 1am-3am. and when he gets home he will either drink till dawn or sleep till he has to be at work. He also takes tablets for depression and bipolar. Do you have any idea why he pooped blood?? maybe his lifestyle? Do you have any idea how i can help this? And what i should do/get him?
Many Thanks

Hi, my late husband died of colon cancer and he pooped blood.  He was an alcoholic, he ate 3 meals and worked hard.  Pls get your partner to a doctor.

100% in agreement with LeftCoastChick. The bloating as big as you say, could signify liver damage. I just lost a friend to liver failure due to liver cancer and it aint pretty! Get him to the doctor, period.

Your partner is an alcoholic. In later stages of aloholism, his addiction will cause his liver to shut down as well issues in his whole digestive system. Bleeding from the bowels is extremely serious and common. He needs to go to the ER immediately. Many alcoholics, like my godfather, will drink until they rupture an organ in their body, sad but true.  You need to go get help as well, you have been with him 31yrs and just suspected he has an issue. There is a group called Al-Anon, this is for folks of addicts who want to get healthy themselves, addiction affects everyone around the addict.  It's worrisome with your partner as well taking meds and drinking. Get him help!
