Remeron

I was put on 15 mg of remeron last tuesday night for anxiety depression and sleep,,,im feeling kinda confused and forgetful im also on risperdal and tapering off ativan,,,any one out there have good luck with remeron,,will this feeling i have go away,,sometimes i feel like i getting forgetful and im scared i have also recently misplaced a bottle of pills and i cant tfind it its driving me over the edge i have searched my house someone either came in and stole it or  i threw it away

Ah yes MJIthewriter, I am also finding this to be true with Remeron. Damn good at fighting the Doom and Deep lows of darkness, but very poor at stabalizing.

I'm not Bi-polar, but this med has made me hypomanic at times. Not a uporic mania, but rather an anxiety induced, agitated kind of mania that feels uncomfortable.

There could be a Bi-polar ll component to my Uni-polar depression and my P-doc and I will perhaps add a mood stabilizer to the Remeron to level me out.

Remeron is probably not the best med for Anxiety, but I firmly beleive that if a stabilizer can be added that it can be very effective. We will see soon in my case.

I find it funny how Remeron is such a good sleep aid before bed time, yet during the next day it is energizing. Sometimes too energizing indeed.

I was on it and it was one of the best meds I was on so far, only thing was it was making me put on weight rapidly, so in the end it was a no go...  I think I was also a touch manic on it.  I got a lot of things done with my story, lots ofcreative thoughts, but I was restless....  It did make me tired but unfortunately I found ways to fight the sleep and stay up late anyway.

Just switched from Nortriptilyne to Remeron 15 days ago. Been 15 days on Remeron at 30Mgs before bed each night. Yes, it will Zombie you out right after you take it. That's why only before bed. The Zombie feeling should lift during the day, then when you take it again at night it will sedate you again.

Thus far it seems to be helping with the Doom and Dread aspects of my Severe Depression, but is doing very little for the other sympoms my depression gives me.

I may soon add a mood stabilizer to help with this.
