I take Trazodone and it works fine for me. Some people complain of sleepwalking but I never had that problem.
They gave me trazodone and it did nothing for me. I would even take 4 and it didn't do anything. I'm on lunesta now. It works.
I've been prescribed trazadone for sleep, but it was not effective for me. I had greater success with Melatonin. Non-prescription, very few possible side effects and non-addictive. Might be worth a try.
Trazadone is very commonly prescribed for sleep. Just tell her she'll need to try it and give it a chance. Make sure she also knows it's best to not take something to help her sleep for extended periods of time, or she will then have to contend with rebound insomnia. Short intervals are best.
Good luck, hope she gets some Zzzzzs!
I was prescribed trazadone for sleep, but I did not like it. It made me feel drowsy, but couldn't sleep. I only took one 50mg pill, the prescription was to take 1 to 3 pills for sleep, so maybe if I took more it would have worked. I didn't like the way I felt so I never tried to take two. My doc told me it is a non addicting sleep aid that can boost my antidepressant. But, like I said, it was not good for me.
