Weaning from Prozac - Side Effects

I'm recently weaned from Prozac and am having a difficult time.  Besides the emotional side effects, I've been experiencing many physical side effects; some that scare me.  Last week, I swam 10 laps in the pool and then went for a run.  During the run, I suddenly started feeling like I was getting shocked.  Not like when you are shocked by static but more like I touched an electric fence (one that they have to keep animals in a yard).  The shock runs through my entire body, my muscles get weak, I get very dizzy and feel as if I'm going to faint then it suddenly goes away.  This happened for 30 minutes every 15 seconds or so while I was running and lasted for at least 2 hours after I ran.  It happened again the next morning and has been occurring randomly all week while sitting, standing, being active, etc. I fainted at work last week as well and my heart rate in the ER went down to 39bpm.  I normally have bradycardia (low heart rate) but 39 is really low!

I'm worried about these new symptoms and it's really uncomfortable being dizzy/lightheaded all the time.

Anyone have any suggestions to stop them (other than going back on the meds)?

thank you for these ideas.   I was on 20 mg and tappered over 3 months really slowly and thought I wouldn't get the withdrawal so bad.  I'm taking B12 and will try the primrose and fish oils.  I'm may try SJW - after a few weeks if it gets worse. Trying to come off all together since I want to have another child.  I don't think SJW is recommended during pregnancy.  Insomnia is really not helpful with being tired! :)  I have lots of trouble falling asleep because of these body shocks.  Thanks again tough!  It was very helpful. :)

primrose oil and fish oils have been mentioned on here from looking back as well it appears. Make sure that you sleep your usual or more, take things at a less intense pace and watch the alcohol as well i found as tiredness brought them on i found. hope that you come through it as it's quite unsettling especially in the beginning as they gradually lessen their effect.

having come off it myself this year i had to stop trying to run and improve my fitness as experienced the "zaps"  and generally did'nt have the strength to run as was a bit all at sea for a bit. Without knowing how long and at what dosage you've been on i'd say it's hard to say as maybe you've came off prozac too aggressively as tapering off and having consolidation weeks worked me down, however i did move onto something else. There's probably something on here which gives better advice from experence on dealing with this perhaps involving 5HT supplements / St john's wort tablets to smooth this transitional phase.
