Yes, it's an uplifting effect that can cause anxiety, agitation, palpitations, panic, etc.
Bad drug, change to something more sedating like Paxil if you're subject to anxiety.
Absolutely! For four years I took Wellbutrin for depression. In 1999 all heck broke loose when I became agitated, nervous and grandiose.. I was hospitalized in a day program for four weeks, That's when my psychiatrist gave me Bipolar II Disorder diagnosis. I stayed on Wellbutrin at a lower dose, and a mood stabilizer and anti-psychotic were added to the mix.
I've learned through the years that for no apparent reason, a med can stop working. After several years, Wellbutrin no longer worked for me. Switched to Celexa along with the other BiPo meds,
You might want to talk to your doctor about changing dosage of Wellbutrin or whether he/she recommends another anti-depressant.
M4's advice is spot on!
Yes,
higher dose could result in too much stimulation which can cause irritability, aggressivity and the outcome of such behavior could result in being more depressed.
Knowing what is the good dose for you is the key. When you feel the dose is not enough anymore then you can talk to your doctor about upping but note that if you just upped your dose those symptoms can vanish pretty in a matter of some a week of two.
