What is a brain zap?

Several comments relate to brain zap?   Can someone describe?

Omg the eyes not keeping up with me is whats happening to me! They kinda "jerk" a little like a twitch... Its uncomfortable :-/ i recently stopped zoloft & adderall & am now starting wellbutrin so i think its why but its pretty scary feeling :( almost feels like it gets in the way of my thinking idk its weird

Also, "brain zaps" are a sensation of a buzz in your head. When I went off Cymbalta quickly, I had what felt like intermittent static. Also when I turned my head quickly my eyes didn't keep up which was a strange sensation.

No, that is limited to antidepressants.

Brain zaps are common as withdrawal of certain anti depressant drugs  like ssri ( citalopram ) & snri s . person has tremors  electric shock like sensation s  ,tingling paresthesia s & at times confusion
