Zoloft pooping out?

Hey everyone I was hoping for some feedback from anyone with xperience with zoloft. I have suffered from extreme anxiety/ panic disoder and depression for most of my life.(I'm 24 years old) it went untreated for a while. I finally found a good DR. about a year and a half ago. I have been on zoloft and perfectly stable for 18 months. It really changed my life my anxiety was almost non existent and depression was literally absent. But over the past month or so I find myself getting depressed, procrastinating and becoming disinterested with my schoolwork. Not wanting to get out of bed and go to work. Wanting to stay up all night and sleep all day. Just going through the motions and not having that same zest for life i used to have. Im on 125mg zoloft is it possible its pooping out? my dr mentioned in the past that if this happens he can up the dosage. Thanks for listening, any feedback is appeciated :)

Hi

I'm a medical student and I'm 25.
Don't worry about this at all, this usually happens with zoloft.
I'm on zoloft too btw 100 mg/day, this happened to me too when i was on 75 mg, so i increased it to 100 and everything is alright now

i think ur dr has to increase it to 150 mg or 175 mg max, and u'll refeel very good in a matter of week..........

At about your age Zoloft pooped out on me after taking 200Mgs a day.

Happens all the time and Zoloft for some reason tends to do this to many people.
The fix for me was to Augment the Zoloft with Lithium. 600Mgs a day.

If that fails to produce a response then you need to dump the Zoloft for an SNRI. Effexor XR gave me 4 years of remission at 300Mgs a day.

Some switch to Cymbalta and some to Pristiq, but having tried them all I found Effexor to work the best.

I was on Zoloft for a very short time, however I have been on other AD in the same class.  It is different for each person b/c each person can metabolize medication at it's on rate.   The doc may increase dosage, switch or add another AD to the current regiment.  My guess is since you have had sucess on Zoloft, he will increase dosage.

Have you been through therapy? It can be very helpful with the medication.  You may want to try this as well.  Thanks, Jude
