I do so hope that the Zoloft works for you. I took it for quite a time for depression, and was fine.
It is so difficult for us to deal with anxiety. I myself am wondering whether I should go back to doctor, but as I am not on any prescribed medicine now, I wanted to see if I could tackle the problem myself without medication.
Hope you feel better soon
I'm gonna start on a low dose of Zoloft today 12 1/2 mg. The doctor figures since I am so sensitive to meds. better start out slow. I do have some adavan if needed for any start up anxiety. I hope this works, cause, I really need some help with this depression and anxiety Ive been suffering with. I feel like I can't enjoy anything anymore, the stress in my life has brought me to this point.So... here goes....
Yep... I'm pretty scared to try anything else... Thank God I have some Atavan to get me through the side effects
Hopefully you will feel better very soon. Shouldn't take too long now to clear your system. I bet you curse the doctor who prescribed the Prozac!!
I'm now on my 6 th day off Prozac..feeling much better off of it than on it.... That's for sure!
I have been trying to sleep this off... The doctor said it can take 10 _days to leave the system.Thank God I was only on _10 mg. I still have nausea, no . apeititand depression... Just waiting this out....looking into seeing a specialist regarding menapause.... Thanks for your support. How long does this take to leave the system?I was on it for 3 weeks
Hello, how are you now? Are you feeling better now you have stopped the Prozac? I am so sorry you have been so ill, and had to go to ER.
Keep posting here if it helps
Ativan isn't really that addictive unless you take it on a daily basis for a long time. If you're taking it PRN, you should be fine.
And the doctor should have tapered you off of the Prozac. Not sure why he prescribed it in the first place. He should have also followed up with you after taking the Prozac for a few weeks as they can sometimes make you more depressed or even suicidal. May want to consider a new doctor.
Thanks for the support everyone.... This will be my third day off of it.... I'm still really sick!!! They gave me a script for adavan.... It helps... But am trying not to take it., because of the addictive properties of that drug.. This is absolutely ridiculous.... Idk how long it's gonna take to get this out of my system. Doctor says about 10 days! Your support helps me stay afloat here.... Thanks

Oh poor you. Yes I found Prozac was the worse thing that ever happened to me, and yet other people do well on it.
I do hope you feel better soon.
Take care
Thanks.... I coming off of it now... After two visits to the ER!!! I felt like I had one major panic attack... For one month straight... Very frightening!!! Going to take the natural approach.... No more AD's
Thanks for the support
I did not realise doctors prescribed Prozac for menopausal symptoms. I was on prozac for about 3 weeks, for depression, but had to stop it as it made me so very ill. Yes with anti depressants, you often do feel worse before you feel better.
I did stop Prozac immediately without any withdrawals. Some people do well on it as an anti depressant, and others like me, do not. I was on HRT for many years for the menopause and it worked really well. Why didn't your doctor prescribe that?
I would advise you to return to the prescribing doctor and tell them how you feel.
Haven't been there and wouldn't get there. Prozac has no medicinal effect on menopause, so I'm not for doctors trying to sedate you instead of treating you. You have a hormonal imbalance, and prozac doesn't treat that, so you'll still have one, you just won't care as much about it if it works. Now, you haven't been on it long enough for it to work, but if I were you, and I'm not, I'd look into natural methods of regulating hormonal fluctuations until you reach balance. I'd go see a naturopath or practitioner of integrated medicine who will treat what you're suffering from, not just try to make your suffering more comfortable.
I don't really know how to help you, but I do wish the best for you! :)
